Well 2678 miles later I have made it to my Sister’s house. Been a fun trip so far. The bike ran great with two little problems that were minor. Took back roads all the way. My stop in Wyoming for 3 nights with the Wilson’s was great. It was fair week and that was fun. When I left I got lost on some back roads and only went 20 miles in 1 1/2 hours on my way to Colorado which made me laugh. Had a great visit with Jane and Jim then headed out. Taking Hwy 36 across Colorado, Kansas and Missouri was real nice, way better than the interstate that I always took in the past. Listened to “Live Bullet” a few times which is the best road album ever. I sure people saw my heading bouncing and me singing more than once. Traveling at 55 mph the only thing I ever passed were tractors. Stopped at a few places and even spent an hour at a gas station enjoying the ac and conversation with the bikers/owners. Even stopped at the center of the USA. That was cool. Coming into Illinois I stopped to see Aunt Mace (86) and surprised her when she opened the door. She laughed and mentioned that Aunt Ev (99) said I was coming but I always stop at her place first. Mace mentioned she wasn’t going to tell her older sis that this time she was first. Made me laugh. They are the last two kicking from grandpa and grandma’s Rohr side of the family. They are both super people and I love them dearly. Getting into the countryside that I grew up in made me smile. The country roads and the memories of adventures, family and friends while growing up here always warms my heart. Stopped by Alexis on the way through and went by the cemetery and said hi to mom and dad and everyone else. Lots of relatives there. Not much has changed in town. Sis has planned a family gathering for this weekend which will be great. Really looking forward to it. Now I just need to get ready for Ecuador. I hope all is well with all my family and friends! You all have a wonderful day. Love Randy
